At the birth of the company, Yebio Biotechnology Research Institute has been found. Adhering to the principle of combining independent research and development with internal and external organizations, paying equal attention to product research and production technique innovation, Yebio has formed a unique grand research and development system including information collection, pathogen research, process amplification, quality research, marketing and application. It has 16 high-level innovation platforms including national, provincial and municipal key laboratories and engineering centers, and has the only SKL( State Key Laboratory) of Animal Genetic Engineering Vaccine established by enterprise in the industry. In 2021, it was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology to construct the biosafety level 3 laboratory (ABSL-3, BSL-3).
After more than 20 years of development, Yebio always pays high attention on scientific and technological innovation, trying to solve the core problems of key technologies in the industry. It is always on the way of building an international first-class veterinary biological products enterprise.
The State Key Laboratory of Animal Genetic Engineering Vaccine was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology on September 30, 2015. It is the only state key laboratory (hereinafter SKL) established by an enterprise in the animal health industry. With the SKL, a number of core and key technologies have been formed and a number of high-tech products have come to market, leading the industry into the era of genetic engineering vaccine.
It is expected to be completed and put into use in 2023, and will be one of the largest and most comprehensive BSL-3 laboratory in Shandong province. In the future, this laboratory will serve as a regional high-level biosafety platform shared by the whole province
